Associate Scientist

Cernostics, Inc., is seeking an Associate Scientist at our laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA. The purpose of the Associate Scientist role is to assist with laboratory duties related to tissue-based cancer diagnostic testing. The successful candidate will perform preparation of reagents, multiplexed immunofluorescence slide labeling, digital slide imaging and image analysis, cell culture, and data management according to established protocols, plus other laboratory duties as assigned. The focus of this job is on producing high-quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures. In addition to clinical testing duties, the Associate Scientist will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of Scientists and Engineers to perform laboratory and informatics tasks related to research studies, including evidence development studies on existing assays, assay and process improvement, as well as the development of new clinical assays. Entry-level and experienced candidates are welcome to apply for this laboratory-based position. The candidate of choice will be hired into the level that is commensurate with their educational background and experience.

Clinical Laboratory Technician

Cernostics, Inc., is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician at our laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA. Cernostics, Inc., is seeking a Histotechnician/Histotechnologist at our laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA. The purpose of the role is to assist with laboratory duties related to tissue-based cancer diagnostic testing. The successful candidate will perform accessioning, grossing, and embedding of tissue specimens, sectioning of tissue blocks, preparation of reagents, multiplexed immunofluorescence slide labeling, digital slide imaging, and cell culture according to established protocols.
